Aber auch auf das normale T-DSL darf manch einer hoffen, der bereits ein Ablehnungsschreiben von der Telekom erhalten hat. "Durch feinere Messmethoden, neueste Erkenntnisse bei den realen Dämpfungswerten sowie Reduzierung des Störabstandes im Kabel zum Kunden erzielen wir einen Reichweitengewinn von maximal knapp einem Kilometer", so Telekom-Vorstand Josef Brauner auf der Systems 2002. Mit anderen Worten: Wer bislang knapp außerhalb der T-DSL-Reichweite lag, sollte nochmals einen Antrag bei der Telekom stellen.
