modem netgear and nas with belgacom

Bonjour,

J'ai quelques problèmes avec le filet de belgacom utilisant le Synology ds214play et bbox3 NAS (parfois je ne peux pas se connecter au NAS à distance).
Donc, je me demande si je peux utiliser mon propre netgear modem, et si cela fonctionne avec Belgacom.
Est-ce que quelqu'un sait les paramètres du modem?

I have some issues with the belgacom net using the NAS synology ds214play and bbox3 (sometimes I can't connect to the nas remotely).
So i'm wondering if I can use my own modem netgear, and if it works with belgacom.
Does anyone know the settings for the modem?

If you are using Belgacom's VDSL2, there are only a few certified modems: Belgacom's BBox2 and 3, Sagem F@st 3464 and AVM fritz!Box 7360 and 7490. All others will see their speed degraded, or not work at all.

You can, however, install your own router (with no modem part) after a BBox, and connect all you devices behind it. This is also known as "bridge mode".
Most DSL modems cannot work in "router-only" mode. You may want to check the manual.

the point is that I need to have an expert setting in my modem, so this is why i would like to use a netgear.
I guess this is not possible.
So, does anyone has problems to use a NAS inside a belgacom net?

What do you want to achieve and what is the unexpected result you get ?
Describe your "expert setting".
We may find a solution or at least, explain why it cannot be done.
